Though Doon police was able to ensure safe release of the captive businessman Manoj Kumar Gupta, many questions remained unanswered.
The police did not inform as how it managed to release Gupta from his captors and what ransom amount the abductors demanded. Further the role of mysterious woman the alleged girlfriend of Gupta, is also not clear though the police admitted that she is one of a prime suspect and is on the run.
When asked by this correspondent as to where Gupta was taken by his captors, the Superintendent of Police (SP), city Ajay Singh who spearheaded the entire operation said that Gupta has informed that the abductors wore monkey caps and took him to some places of Western UP. He accepted that the role of the woman is of prime importance and police is on look out for her and main conspirators and perpetrators of the crime.
