Taking cognisance of Dehradun district court’s order in a case of Jamniwala resident Dhanendra Kumar Sharma, Kotwali police registered a case against Dehradun district magistrate BVRC Purushottam and others under Sections 466, 467, 468 and 120b of IPC on Friday.
CO City Pramod Kumar said that following the court order, an FIR was lodged against Purushottam, Raja Road resident Chaman lal Sharma, Rajpur resident Gajendra Prasad and Upper Tehsildar Shujauddin Siddiqu for conspiring, altering court documents and concealing documentation.
SI Vinod Thapliyal has been made investigating officer. However, Purushottam said, "I am yet to be informed. But, before filing case against DM, permission should have been taken from the Government."
