Kotdwar police have registered a case of molesting a minor girl against one Mukesh Kaptiyal under section 354 of Indian Penal Code and section ¾ of POCSO Act on the basis of the complaint lodged by a relative of the girl. However, police are yet to arrest the accused.
According to SSP office sources, the minor was allegedly molested by the accused at a place near laxmi Wedding Point when she was returning home after tuition in Kotdwar on Monday. After she narrated what happened to her to her parents a complaint was lodged on Tuesday.
