In connection with the murder of a 10- year- old girl who had been allegedly hacked to death on Saturday, police have arrested a person identified as Monu alias Gufran, native of Meerut, and also a minor on the charge of committing the murder. While Monu was sent to jail the minor was sent to a juvenile home after they were produced in the court. The accused are learnt to have admitted the crime while being grilled. Police sources said that the girl was murdered as she had seen Monu in a compromising position with her elder sister. Earlier, Prakshit Kumar, the circle officer, had said that she was playing outside her house at around 10 am when she disappeared. As the deceased’s elder sister had gone to the first floor of the house to dry cloths she had seen her younger sister lying in a pool of blood in their uncle’s under-construction house.
