In connection with the death of two workers - Dinesh 24 and Krishna 23- both Patelnagar residents, after they had gone inside the sewerage line at Palm City in Patharibagh under Patelnagar police station on July 11, Dehradun police have arrested three persons and sent them to Suddhowala jail after producing them in the court on Friday. The accused have been identified as contractor Naved, Suleman and Satish Kumar, all residents of Patelnagar. They have been charged with complete negligence, leading to the death of the two workers.
Notably, two bodies had been found inside sewerage line - around 20 feet deep- by the police. Preliminary investigation had revealed that the duo had gone inside the sewerage to clear the lines from where it had not come out. Based on the complaint received from the family members of the deceased, a case under section 304 of IPC had been registered against the accused in the Patelnagar police station. Police had subsequently formed a team to investigate the case.
