The boycott call given by PMHS would send the health services in tizzy. It is worth mentioning here that on Monday the Government hospitals witness a huge rush of patients as the OPD's function for full day after the holiday of Sunday. The past experience suggests that 22-25 per cent more patients register for OPDs in the Government hospitals on Monday. In Doon hospital 2,000-2,200 patients visit the various OPDs of the hospital on Mondays. It was learnt that the senior officers of the health department are in constant touch with the PMHS and are putting pressure on them to suspend the boycott call on Monday.
