Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Kedarnath on May 3, the day the portals of the fabled shrine would open.
It is learnt from the official sources that the PM would be just one of the devotees to the shrine on that auspicious day. Besides, President Pranab Mukherjee might visit Badrinath on May 6.
Notably, the President had paid obeisance at Kedarnath shrine in 2016. Although the President's tour is yet to be officially confirmed the PM's visit has been confirmed on Thursday. As the information reached, the State Government swung into action, asking the Rudraprayag district administration to make fool-proof arrangements for the upcoming VVIP visit.
