The Other Backward Castes (OBC) Sangharsh Samiti has demanded that the State Government fill the OBC backlog of posts of teachers in the Government schools of the State.
The Samiti spearheading for the interests of OBC candidates dashed off a letter to the Principal Secretary Education S Raju on Thursday and demanded that that the 990 vacant posts of OBC candidates in the Government schools of state should be filled on basis of priority.
The President of the Samiti, Amit Babu said that OBC back log posts in education department are not filled ever since the creation of state. He said that the department is planning to fill the backlog posts of OBC with other candidates by declaring these posts as additional and is planning to implement the process of roaster in these posts which is wrong.
The Samiti is of the view that the department can not apply roaster in these posts of backlog and should initiate a special recruitment drive to fill these vacancies with OBC candidates only.
The Samiti has threatened to launch an agitation if the state government fails to heed to their demand.
