The district administration Pithoragarh has decided to distribute the ration cards among the beneficiaries under the food security scheme by May 31, 2014.
According the officials concerned of the Pithoragarh district administration out of 33,874 ration cards to be distributed among the eligible families or the beneficiaries under the food security scheme, 15,070 ration cards have so far been prepared and rest of the 18,804 cards are under preparation stage in the district. However, all the ration cards will be distributed among the beneficiaries by end of May under the same food security scheme, the officials concerned expressed hope.
