The Pithoragarh district administration has ordered a magisterial inquiry into a road accident case in which as many as 15 persons died and seven others were injured when a vehicle (UK-05 TA-0137 ) they were travelling in, met with a road accident in Pithoragarh’s Dharchula area on November 20.
The ill-fated vehicle met with the road accident near Koldhar Band on the Dharchula –Tawaghat Road in Pithoragarh’s Dharchula area around 7 am on November 20 said the officials concerned of the district administration, Pithoragarh. However, the district administration, Pithoragarh, has appointed SDM, Dharchuala, as investigating officer to conduct a magisterial inquiry into this road accident case.
In the meanwhile, the SDM Dharchula, Pramod Kumar, has appealed to the common people that in case they have any information in regard tothis road accident case, they may register their statement in his office at Dharchula on any working day so that the magisterial inquiry could be conducted into this matter in a fair manner and financial assistance could also be extended to the victims.
