The order of the High Court has come as a blot from blue for more than 75,000 Government school teachers of the State who are on agitation. The leaders of the teachers are terming it as a ploy of the State Government.
“It is clear that the State Government is behind the PIl on the issue. The teachers would give a fitting reply to the State Government as it has retorted to such tactics. From the day one we had made it clear that we would take classes even on Sundays and other holidays once our demands are accepted to compensate for the loss of studies for the period of strike,’’ said one of a teachers.
However the court’s order has definitely given a boost to the State Government as it was unable to persuade the agitating teachers to abstain from the path of agitation despite holding several rounds of talks with them.
