The Physical education (BPEd/ MPEd) qualified unemployed federation and the association of the agitating Shiksha Acharyas are continuing their agitations despite the fact that the State Government would not bring out the Government order for their appointment they are demanding due to the enforcement of model code of conduct.
The Federation of Unemployed Physical education qualified graduates is holding a dharna at the Old Raipur bus stand near Parade Ground for last 174 days. They are demanding that a post of Physical education teacher should be created in the primary schools of the state.
The State president of federation Sundar Dhoni said that the federation had decided to continue its agitation as the government has failed to honour the promises it had made. The association of the Shiksha Acharayas is also camping at the old Raipur bus stand for many days. They are demanding that they should be adjusted as the
Shiksha Mitras in the Primary schools of the state. A total of 2883 Shiksha Acharya and instructors were employed from 2001 to 2008 under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan at a paltry wage of `2500.
