'People will reject the ruling party'

Enthused by the massive response the ‘Parivartan Rally’ had received in the laldhang area of Haridwar district on Friday, the   Haridwar MP and former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal said that  the turnout in rallies being held in the state is signaling the imminent defeat of the Congress in the coming election. “I am sure the people are all set to reject the ruling party that has been sheltering and safeguarding the mining and other mafias,” he said.

Addressing the public on arrival of the rally at Gandhi Chowk, Pokhriyal said that the Harish Rawat Government was steeped in corruption. “Rather it is patronising corruption. The only motive  under which it is working is to loot the state by any means. The local police and administrative officials are busy making things easier for the CM who is frequently  visiting the district. They have thus no time to even listen to the complaints of the people, let alone act on them,” the  MP said.

Satpal Maharaj said, “The demonetisation has affected the hoarders of black money. I am sure that the common people would benefit by the move as cooking gas and other essential commodities would cost lesser for them in time to come.”

local BJP MlA Swami Yateeshwaranand said, “The mammoth gathering at the rally is a clear indication that the people are reposing confidence in the policies of the BJP.”
