Sounding confident that his party is all set to wrest the State from the grip of Congress, BJP national vice -president and Uttarkahand in-charge Shyam Jaju said on Saturday that a strong wind has been blowing across Uttarakhand for a change. “The people are fed up with the Congress Government steeped in corruption. The people have already made up their mind to shove them out of power,” he said.
Addressing a meeting called to review the preparation for the Parivartan Yatra slated to start in the second week of November, Jaju said that the people would opt for BJP to usher in the much-awaited change. “The yatra would crystallize the people’s mood already hostile to the Harish Rawat Government. Both the central and the State leaders would take part in the yatra. There is a possibility that the party’s national president Amit Shah would launch the yatra through addressing a public rally which is likely to be mammoth one,” Jaju said.
He exhorted the party rank and file to exert themselves fully to make the yatra a great success so that it could prove instrumental in bringing about the change in the State. “They must give their cent percent,” he said.
State BJP president Ajay Bhatt said that they were presently focused on the yatra. “The onus to rid the State of the corruption-tainted regime falling on us, we should not be found wanting in any way,” he said.
