The Uttarakhand PCC president Kishore Upadhyay has created Gau-Ganga Evam Samajik Sadbhav department in the PCC. Upadhyay had appointed PCC vice president Brahmaswarup Brahmachari as the head of this newly formed department with Tarun Pant as its coordinator. According to the PCC chief spokesman Mathuradatt Joshi, Upadhyay has expected the office bearers of this newly formed department to work towards cleaning and conservation of the Ganga and its tributaries.
