The district level coordination committee meeting was held in Pauri on Tuesday where the Chief Development Officer, Sonika, discussed several matters related to loan deposit ratio in banks, annual loan scheme, loan for minority community, Kishan credit card, Prime Minister's Jan Dhan Yojana, and others with the bankers.
Sonika thanked the bankers for achieving 94 per cent target of loan distribution by the end of 2014 and stressed that the trend should continue in future too. She said that the bankers should prepare the annual loan scheme for the new financial year and put the annual loan scheme for the approval before the controller and submit it to the lead bank authority so that the annual loan scheme for the district could be prepared and enforced from April 1.
She instructed the bankers to complete the target of agriculture loan in the current financial year and directed that all bank branches should organise agriculture loan mela and give full details to the people regarding this loan, so that the target in the field of agriculture could be achieved.
According a survey done by the Reserve Bank of India, the target of one from every family opening bank account has remained unfulfilled. Camps should be organised to ensure the target is fulfilled, she stressed.
