On his return from Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, general secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth Acharya Bal Krishna said that it is a  joint collaboration project involving Andhra Pradesh government and Patanjali Ayurved limited. Aside from the food park,  some food processing units would come up  in Visakhapatnam, he said, adding that  the  announcement followed  a  meeting of the  Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and himself during the 23rd CII partnership summit and sunrise programme held in Andhra Pradesh.

Notably, Patanjali is mulling over opening food parks in Nagpur, Indore and Guwahati aside from one in Jammu and Kashmir and two each in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh by March 2017.

Bal Krishna said, “Decks were cleared following the inking of MoU between PAl and Government of Andhra Pradesh. It would generate a lot of employment opportunities for the youths of the region. Besides, it would lead to overall development of the state.”

“On the pattern of Chhattisgarh, PAl will contribute in every possible manner to enhance tourism in Andhra Pradesh. Besides, efforts would be made to conserve cow progeny and develop good breed cows,” added Bal Krishna.
