Patanjali celebrates Amit Shah's second innings

Baba Ramdev sounded happy over Amit Shah beginning his second innings as the BJP president. A yajna was organised in the Patanjali Yog Peeth Bhawan on Monday  to celebrate his re-election.

A huge number of  Army personnel and Yoga teachers from Sikkim participated in the yajna. Notably, Sikkim is the first State in the country where Patanjali Yog Peeth-envisaged  yoga curriculum is  all set to be included in the school curriculum.

Speaking to The Pioneer, Baba Ramdev said, “I know Amit Bhai personally. He is a spiritually inclined person.  I met him just a day before the announcement of his re-election. He has rich organisational experience. I am sure  he  would take the country to a new high, making India the Vishwa Guru, the exalted status she  deserves.”

Asked about the challenges he is likely to face in his second innings, Ramdev said, “BJP is not just a political party but it also is a ruling party presently. Its responsibility is thus enormous as it must take care of the  mounting aspirations of over 125 crore citizens. Shah is a person who places Dharma  and the nation supreme above the  narrow interests  of the party. This is why he has survived the adverse phases in his eventful    political life. He would definitely rise  to the challenge.”

The pro-saffron party Baba further said that the BJP under Shah had delivered a  body blow to the  Congress. “It is now  engaged in revamping the entire system as bequeathed by the long Congress rule. We are hopeful of more  far-reaching changes unfolding in the coming days. We wish him success. Hence the yajna,” he said.
