Appreciating the decision of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) books the All Uttarakhand Parents Association has requested the Union HRD Minister to make NCERT books mandatory for other boards as well.In a letter dispatched to Union Minister Smriti Irani the association thanked her for her decision to ask the CBSE to mandate NCERT books only in the schools affiliated by it. The President of the association Neeraj Singhal said that the Irani was requested that similar orders should also be given to the other boards like ICSE so that the parents are relieved.
