While dwelling on the case of the alleged murder of 28- year- old Neha Yadav, the police said on Tuesday that her 30- year- old paramour, Sonu Kumar, had murdered her and later committed suicide by jumping into the upper Ganga canal in Haridwar in remorse as per the evidences gathered by police.
The body of Neha Yadav had been found in a pool of blood at her rented accommodation in Ambedkar Nagar colony under the Jwalapur police station limit on April 20. Police had initially detained her husband; however, investigation had later revealed that he was at his office during the time of the crime. Police had then started investigation from another angle and zeroed in on Sonu Kumar who had illicit relationship with the woman.
