The announcement by UKD (Panwar faction) chief Trivendra Singh Panwar of the party executive committee members has been opposed by some members of the faction. Apart from this, this development is one in a series of developments in both the factions which have failed to achieve anything substantial with the Panwar and Airy factions continuing to claim their authenticity and accuse the other of being invalid.
It will be recalled that in the recent past, the Airy faction head Kashi Singh Airy had announced various committees formed in view of the lok Sabha and Panchayat elections. The announcement by Panwar was not unanimously welcomed even by members of his own faction. While some have alleged irregularities in the selection, some have refused to take up the offered posts, stating that they prefer to remain members.
According to political observers, these recent developments have done nothing to improve the standing of the party with people yet to repose their faith in the UKD.
