Keeping in view of the large tourists inflow during summer, Nainital district administration has directed officials concerned to complete road repairs works by April 15.
Meanwhile, the district administration has also set up committees to look after road repair works’ in lake City-Nainital, Dhari and Koshiyakutoli. Each such committee will be headed by District Development Officer. Respective Block Development Officers, Executive Engineers from Rural Engineering Service and Assistant Engineers from irrigation department will be members of each such committee.
Similarly, a committee has also been set up to verify road repair works in Haldwani and Ramnagar. The committee comprising respective Block Development Officers, Executive Engineers, irrigation department and Assistant Engineers from Rural Engineering Service, will be headed by Project Director, DRDA, officials of the Nainial district administration said.
Meanwhile, the district administration also asked officials to ensure quality of works and their timely completion in view of the tourism season ahead.Besides, the administration also directed officials to put in place other basic services including lighting, drinking water , cleanliness to name a few keeping in view the tourist season.
In case officials fail to complete the given task, necessary departmental action will be taken against such erring officials, warned officials.
