Manufacturing of Illicit liquor allegedly goes unabated in many parts of Udham Singh Nagar district, including Dineshpur and Gularbhoj areas. Seemingly vexed with the people demanding stern action against the manufacturers of illicit liquor, the Udham Singh Nagar district administration has constituted a committee consisting of SDM Bazpur, CO, Bazpur and Excise Inspector, Bazpur to deal with those involved in the illicit trade.
Meanwhile, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar, has directed the members of the aforesaid committee to conduct raids at the suspected hooch joints across the district and take stringent action in line with the laws against those involved to stamp out the illicit liquor trade once and for all. He has also asked the officials concerned of the said enforcement team to submit an action taken report to the district administration in a week.
Interestingly, the district administration, Udham Singh Nagar, has decided to swoop on the illicit liquor manufacturers in the wake of the common people of the said areas led by Arvind Pande, MlA from Gadarpur taking up the matter with the Udham Singh Nagar district administration.
The angry residents demanded strong action against the illicit liquor mafia who are allegedly going on with the hooch trade, defying laws with impunity. After assuring the people that appropriate action plans are on the cards, the district administration Udham Singh Nagar has directed the officials concerned to conduct raids at regular intervals to eliminate traces of the trade.
