The regional youth welfare department is going to organise Panchayat Youth Sports Competition in
Haldwani for three days from Saturday. Side by side, two day long National Woman Sports Competition will also be organised here from Saturday, added the officials concerned. Under the Panchayat Youth Sports Competitions which will continue till October 14, 2013 , boys and girls below 16 years of age, will be able to take part in this sports competition, said

Sports like 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter and 1500 meter race, long jump, Kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton, volleyball to name a few will be organised in both boys and girls categories , the official concerned of the regional youth welfare department informed. More so, the winning participants
of this sports competition will also be rewarded, Arya further said. At the same time, he informed that two day long National Woman Sports Competition will also be organised at the same place i.e. the HN Inter College, the Rampur Road, Haldwani from Saturday under this National Woman Sports Competition, sports activities like 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter, 1500 and 3000 meter race, long jump, Kabaddi, high jump , badminton, volleyball to name a few will be organised, he further said, appealing the interested candidates to take part in these events in maximum number.
