Pantnagar Agriculture Alumni Society (PAAS) organised Silver Jubilee Alumni meet of 1988 batch. In which ex-students and teachers who taught 1988 batch were felicitated. Eminent scientist,
visiting professor and first batch student of the university, BB Singh, KK Bhatia (MD Bhatia Seeds) and Dean Agriculture J Kumar inaugurated the function by lightening of lamp.
In his address Singh stressed that in order to add more feathers to the cap of university, the Pantnagar University Alumni has to play a very active role. Appreciating the work done by previous professors and students of the university, J Kumar said that a directory of the Alumni would be prepared so that it helps the university in placement of students on various organisations. He also sought help from the Alumni for raising the university to new heights.

All teachers praised 1988 batch students and said that this batch was having exceptional talents in various areas. Being felicitated by students after so many years was a matter of honour to them.
