Taking note of Saturday’s murder of a contractor during a one-day party held at a hotel on Rajpur Road, Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nivedita Kukreti said that the owners of the restaurants/hotels/ clubs/bars in the city should  inform police of such parties beforehand so that police can arrange security. She said this while meeting the owners of restaurants/hotels/ clubs/bars based in the city on Monday.

She further said that they must implement all the rules related to such one- day parties for which the administration issues the licenses.  “After they receive the licenses it is mandatory on their part to inform the local police station officers.

Besides, the operators must install CCTV cameras at the party venue, parking venue, entry gate and some other places. The photo identity cards of the visitors must be collected and their attendance should be mentioned in the registry books,” she said, adding that persons below the age of 21 should be not allowed to enter such parties.  She further said that such parties should not be dragged beyond the time fixed in the licenses. She warned that action would be taken against the operators who fail to implement her instructions.
