A large number of students keep crowding in to get the forms for private examinations of Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University. In just two days, over 15,000 forms have been sold from 56 post offices located along Garhwal division. In view of the rush to collect them, the University has given print order for 30,000 extra forms.
The forms for session 2014-15 private examinations of SDS University started being sold from January 29. Five post offices in Dehradun, six in Haridwar, 11 in Tehri, 13 in Paurie, four in Rydraprayag, six in Chamoli and eight in Uttarkashi districts have sold over 15,000 forms in the first two days, it is learnt.In Dehradun alone, the main post office has sold over 9,000 forms. In Tehri district, over 700 forms were sold.
This year, the University has printed 40,000 forms for Graduate and 30,000 forms for Post-Graduate courses. However, the number having proved inadequate, the post offices demanded more.University Vice- Chancellor Dr U S Rawat informed that the number of students has increased this year principally due to their non- admission in the evening classes. Besides, they are conducting of third year B. A exam in the university for the first time. In view of this, he had instructed the officials to keep ready 10000 UG and 20,000 PG forms.
last year, some students had complained of being charged extra money for the forms. This time, the registrar Hansraj Bisht has written to all the in- charges of examination centres to ensure that only the fixed amounts be taken from the students for the forms. If any complaint is received, stern action would be taken, he warned.
Marksheets of BA 2nd yr, MA 1st yr courses available on website
New Tehri: The Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University students who have not yet received their mark-sheets for the BA second year and MA first year examinations can download the same from the website and attach it with the forms. University registrar Hansraj Bisht said that for the benefit of students, the varsity authority had uploaded the mark- sheets of the BA second year and MA first year examinations on its website.
