The Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah categorically averred that Congress party is provoking the people by talking about people “problems” being faced in getting money exchanged but he made it clear that BJP led Union Government is not going to leave its “war against black money”. As far as inconvenience is concerned then people would forget these initial hitches in view of better future. He further said that AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi is talking about One Rank One Pension(OROP) but he does not have moral right to talk on it. About 90  public welfare schemes had been launched by the BJP led union government in past two and half years, he said. “As per the 14th  finance commission report, Uttarakhand is getting Rs  26000 per year additional money. To get electricity at your home you need transformer to convert electricity from high tension for domestic or commercial consumption. Similarly, you should change an old transformer like the Congress Government and install new transformer like BJP Government to get uninterrupted electricity,” he said.

“Before BJP led NDA Government assumed office at the centre, Army jawans were not secure because infiltrators were entering into border and chopping the head of the Army jawans but now our jawans ar entering into their territory and conducting surgical strike. Earlier army Jawans were seeking orders from Delhi but now jawan have their order in their pocket so whenever they receive a bullet, they reciprocate with a bomb. This is the change BJP has brought in last two and half years. Our Government is taking decisions with a political will. Now some people do not like these words.” Replying to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s comment — “Modiji should not do politics on blood of jawans”, Shah said that for BJP, jawan and their security is of utmost importance, even more than the personal life. He warned against making mockery of bravery otherwise people would teach the Congress a lesson. “We salute our soldier and now they are free to retaliate intrusion,” said Shah.

“As far as Dev bhoomi is concerned then we have been giving Rs  26000 crore per year additional after recommendation of 14th finance commission. Since inception of BJP led NDA regime, Uttarkhand government has received Rs  60000-65000 crore but this money is not visible in your villages and if this Government would continue then the intended development would never occur. If you want to see the money then visit Congress workers’ house because earlier they were residing in tin shed but now they are living in palace. By such factors, the union government’s money to the state is diverted in corruption.”

He exhorted the public to elect the BJP with two-thirds majority if they want to bring development. Stating that the Union Government under prime minister Narendra Modi is launching a new scheme every fortnight, he asked the gathering whteher he should list them out. He further said that more than 90 schemes including Jan Dhan Yojana, Sukanya, Mudra, Jeevan Jyoti and crop insurance among others.

He assured the people that a BJP Government would bring development into the state and exhorted the people to raise both their  hands in pledge to “annihilate Congress led State Government and form BJP led Government in upcoming assembly election”. “By doing this you will strengthen the hands of PM Modi,” said Shah, in response to which the  gathering raised their both hands.
