Opp gets ready to create ruckus

To pressure the State Government on many issues, main Opposition BJP has decided to create a ruckus when the Governor would read his speech on Wednesday, the day the Budget Session of the State Assembly begins. Talking to The Pioneer, leader of the Opposition Ajay Bhatt said they would oppose the Governor’s speech as it is meant to tom-tom the State Government’s spurious achievements.  However, he made it clear that they had no personal grievance with the Governor. It was part of our political strategy, he added.

Notably, as per Constitutional provision, the Governor is supposed to address the first day of the Budget Session. The speech contains achievements and developmental roadmap of the State Government involving the last year and the coming year. During a meeting, the BJP leaders listened individually to the MlAs and then they decided that they would allow the house to run but at the same time would embarrass the State Government, Bhatt said.

He alleged that since Harish Rawat Government came, the State Government remains focused on minting money by allowing the mining mafias to thrive. Bhatt further said they would force the Government to answer to the questions to be raised by them, particularly those related to Fl-2 licence issue. Although they have issued public notice in the dailies on this count they are yet to explain the Government’s stance, he said.
