The state health department reported only 48 new cases of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand on Friday. The authorities also declared 279 patients cured on the day which reduced the active case count to 533 in the state.
The department has so far detected 91,543 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,541 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 268 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.63 per cent on Friday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.79 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 23 new patients from Dehradun, six from Haridwar and three each from Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital on Friday. No new patient was detected from Pauri, Pithoragargh and Rudraprayag districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 533. Dehradun with 229 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Champawat has 77 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with five active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 13,285 people were vaccinated in 735 sessions in the state held on Friday.
