The C-FRO, C- Form and S-Form module has been made available online in the Pauri district from this month under the Immigration, Visa Foreigners Registration and Tracking Plan. This was implemented in the district on the instruction of Union Home Ministry for simplifying the registration of foreigners visiting the district.
Giving this information Pauri Superintendent of Police Ajay Joshi said that in the past for the registration, stay duration increase information was sent to the State Home department and Union Home Ministry by registered post. However, now the request can be processed online. The SP stressed that implementing this online service will enable the authorities not only to keep a watch on the foreigners visiting the district but also help the authorities provide necessary services and security to the foreign visitors. Every necessary detail about a foreigner visiting the district can now be accessed at the click of a mouse and this information can also be sent swiftly to the security agencies and departments concerned if and when required.
Joshi said that the National Informatics Centre, Uttarakhand State coordinator Rakesh Sharma informed the owners and managers of hotels, dharmshalas and other tourist lodges in Pauri and Srinagar about this facility. The online service can be accessed at http://indianfrro.gov.in.
