The commuters are having very tough time due to the callous approach of the department concerned.
The ongoing work of intalling the street lights in the middle of dividers along the Rajpur road has forcing the four wheelers’ drivers to remain extra cautious while commuting on the Rajpur road and situation has turned extremely dangerous especially during the night. The lethargic approach of the nodal agency could be asily gauzed by the fact that series of flowerpots along with huge concrete blocks have been placed adjoining dividers without having any warning signs.
The plight of the commuters’ increase several times especially at night as the glare of the vehicles coming from the opposite directions make the drivers of four wheelers to drive. Besides, unattended huge flower pots along with series of concrete blocks adjoining the drivers are inviting the road accidents. The situation is equally worst along the Rajpur road. The work of laying the street lights that was started couple of days back has increasing the plight of commuters.
Since the huge concrete blocks and flowerpots of dividers are kept unattended along with the debris and mud, it has turned extremely difficult for the commuters to drive. Although glow signs are placed at frequent intervals but it is not solving the purpose and turned extremely difficult for the commuters to drive. Shockingly, three flower pots that were placed on the divider were broke into pieces after it was placed beside the divider by the workers after digging the dividers.
The driving of four wheelers turned extremely dicey for two wheelers and four wheelers especially at those points where street lights are not working. One of the department sources who wished anonymity told The Pioneer that the work of laying the street lights would be completed in the given time frame and more glow signs would be placed in order to avoid inconvenience to the commuters.
