Joining national efforts to provide immediate relief to the disaster struck Uttarakhand where unprecedented monsoon caused large-scale destruction and huge loss of life, ONGC has announced a contribution of Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
In a letter addressed to the CM, ONGC CMD Sudhir Vasudeva, termed the natural disaster as “deeply disturbing and shocking” and said that the devastation emerging out of this tragedy has been a matter of pain and anguish to the entire nation. Vasudeva said that ONGC stands by the people of Uttarakhand in this hour of difficulty.
