With the current financial year 2014-2015 reaching its fag end, the Udham Singh Nagar district administration has strictly asked the officials concerned to ensure cent per cent utilisation of the funds released to their respective departments by March 31, 2015.

Mention worthy, out of Rs55.65 crore approved outlay under the district plan for this financial year 2014-2015, only about Rs45.44 crore has so far been utilised. So with the spending only about  82 per cent of the budgetary support of Rs55.65 crore granted under the district plan, the administration emphasised on the need of  full spending of the released amount within given period of time.

It has asked the officials to ensure cent per cent utilisation of funds released to their respective departments by March. It also cautioned the officials who are slow in achieving targets in terms of utilisatoin of funds.

More so, the district administration also asked the officials to ensure cent percent utilisation of the funds pending since April 2014. At the same time, the administration also called for timely utilisation of the funds released under different other sectors, including the State plan.

The State Government had released the district plan outlay to all the districts in single installment in the beginning of this fiscal instead of releasing the same amount in different installments in a phased manner.

The basic purpose of the Government of releasing the entire amount of the district plan outlay in single amount was only to ensure timely utilisaiton of the said district plan fund so that people could be benefited from the developmental works.
