Chief Minister Harish Rawat directed officials to take serious cognisance of the announcements made by him. Whatever action is taken in this regard must be reported to the local MlA and a report must be sent to the CM’s Office. The implementation of the announcements must be continuously reviewed, he said while reviewing development works in Dehradun District’s Raipur, Rajpur Road, Vikas Nagar and Doiwala Assembly constituencies. Rawat instructed officials to install five mini tube-wells and four public toilets each in these constituencies.

He said that the State Government would finalise a policy on quarrying and discuss it in the Vidhan Sabha. He has asked the District Magistrate to prepare a project for beautification of intersections and parks in urban and suburban areas of Dehradun and installation of street lights. Fifty per cent cost of this would be borne by SIIDCUl under CSR and 25 per cent each by MDDA and State Government. Income from compounding by MDDA must be used to improve the drainage system. He instructed the DM to inquire into complaints of improper parking. A Handicraft Haat must be set up at Tera Gaon and space should be provided to women NGOs there.

In Vikas Nagar constituency, Rawat said that there must be a substation between Dakpatthar and Khodri while CM’s relief fund will be used to fund a blood bank.

The CM instructed officials to cover all bare transformers all over Dehradun including Raipur within two months. He has also asked for a project report on ways to get rid of problems caused by hanging overhead wires. He has also asked Payjal Nigam to recharge all dried up hand pumps and repair leakage from drinking water lines. MlAs Navprabhat, Hira Singh Bisht, Rajkumar, Umesh Sharma, additional chief secretary Subhash Kumar and other officials were also present.
