In view of the summer season ahead, State Finance Minister and MlA from Haldwani, Indira Haridayesh, has asked the officials concerned to improve the drinking water services in her Assembly constituency.
At the same time, she has also stressed on the need to strengthen the drinking water distribution network and improve the leakage problem in supply lines of the drinking water. There is no scarcity of drinking water in Haldwani. But leakages and old distribution network of the drinking water cause problem in ensuring smooth supply of drinking water.
Therefore, the officials concerned need to improve leakage problems and strengthen the distribution network so that proper supply of drinking water could be ensured to the citizens in summer season ahead, the State Finance Minister and MlA from Haldwani asked the officials concerned of the Jal Sasthan.
She also asked the officials concerned to expedite works on new drinking water pipe lines in Gafoor Basti, Rajpur Kanjar Basti, Ujala Nagar, Indira Nagar Zakir Hussain area and Noori Basti.
Assuring the better supply of drinking water to the citizens in their respective areas, she maintained that people need not to be worried about scarcity of drinking water problem. To ensure proper availability of drinking water new drinking water pipe lines will also be laid in case of such crisis, she added.
At the same, directing the officials concerned to complete the ongoing drinking water line projects as early as possible in view of the summer season ahead, the State Finance Minister has also asked the officials concerned to maintain quality of the works.
