The Nainital district administration has directed the officials concerned to distribute the ration cards under the food security scheme till May 24.
Delay on part of the officials concerned in ensuring timely distribution of the said cards will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against such erring officials, asserted the Nainital district administration.
Expressing his disappointment over poor progress of the food security scheme, Akshat Gupta, District Magistrate, has said that since this food security scheme is an important scheme for the public, therefore, all the officials concerned are supposed to run this scheme on priority basis. He has also emphasised on the need to distribute the ration cards in this regard by May 24.
