After completion of the education portal, the education department is planning to process the transfers of teachers online from next year. The Director General (DG) of school education D Senthil Pandian said this while reviewing the work on the portal on Tuesday. The DG said that efforts to take online applications for transfers are being made from the next session. He said that apart from the profile of all employees the profile of students should also be added in the portal so that scholarship allocation process is streamlined. He said that number of students in the school of teachers applying for transfers would also be considered from next time.The DG said that in future such cadres would be created which require least number of transfers.
Taking a stern view of the officers and teachers of educational department failing to join their new places of posting after Pandian asked the senior officials to immediately relieve such employees. He said that the salaries of such officers/teachers would be released only after they join at their new places.
