Taking note of complaints received from the customers about less fuel being given at several fuel pumps, the district food and civil supply officer PS Pangti conducted raids along with some administrative officials at several fuel refilling stations on Monday.
Pangti ordered sealing of two machines at the petrol pump known as Super Service Station located at Jogiwala after he found that the fuel being given from there was less than what the customers were paying for. Two others petrol pumps - Amar Shahid Dilbar, located at Mohkampur and lokpujya filing centre, Miyawala- were also checked by the officials.
While nothing wrong was found at the first the officials found leakage from the nozzles at the latter. The operators were asked to fix the leakage immediately.
Notably, on Saturday, the administrative officers had sealed seven nozzles of four petrol pumps located at Jogiwala, ISBT and some other places.
