In a second case of scuffle in less than three days, a nursing trainee was slapped by a ward boy in Doon hospital on Thursday. The incident occurred in the Operation Theater (OT) of ENT ward when a ward boy named Sunil slapped a trainee S Satyapal after a verbal duel.
After the incident the nursing trainees of the hospital assembled in front of administrative building and demanded that the culprit should apologize for the rowdy behavior. The class IV employee union of the hospital came out in support of the ward boy and said that the trainee misbehaved with Sunil the ward boy. The matter was later sorted out when the principal of the nursing college Hansi Negi and the delegation of the IV employee union negotiated on the issue.
It is worth mentioning here that on Tuesday personal attendant of cardiologist Dr KB Joshi misbehaved with councilor from Vasant Vihar Anju Bisht. She alleged that the attendant slapped her, large number of BJP workers under the leadership of BJP MlAs Harbans Kapoor and Ganesh Joshi gathered at the hospital and held a vociferous protest against the doctor. The doctors too boycotted their work and threatened to go on strike if the hospital administration fails to provide them with
adequate security.
