Wining candidates of different posts of the local civic bodies like Mayor/ chairman and the councillor won’t be able to express their joy in the form of rally in public as the Election Commission has strictly prohibited carrying out victory rallies by the winning candidates after declaration of civic election results on Tuesday.
The matter of fact is that different political parties are keenly awaiting the results of the civic polls particularly the Mayor posts of different municipal corporations, but they won’t be able to carry out victory rallies following the strict guidelines of the Election department.
Victory rallies won’t be allowed at any cost after declaration of results on Tuesday, asserted Nidhimani Tripathi, District Election Officer (DEO), Nainital. Strict action will be taken as per the law against those who are found staging victory rallies, the DEO further said.
