The presence of CM Harish Rawat and a galaxy of Congress leaders on the occasion of the inauguration of the administrative block of the Ayurveda University ensured that the name of Haridwar Member of Parliament (MP) and former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal ‘Nishank’ was not mentioned during the long ceremony. It is worth mentioning that the BJP leader was instrumental in setting up the university as it was during his chief ministerial tenure, the foundation stone of the University was laid. People in the hushed tones during the ceremony also talked about the absence of local MP Nishank from the ceremony. Trying to score a political point, the CM asked the Vice Chancellor and principal secretary (health) to ensure that local people are employed at lower positions of the university
