The decision to put dustbins in the buses and assign their responsibility to the conductors is not going down well with the staff of the State transport corporation.
The General Secretary of Uttarakhand Roadways Karamchari Sanyukt Parishad, Ramchandra Raturi told The Pioneer that the conductors/ helpers in the buses of State transport corporation are already overworked and putting additional burden on then is not good.
“We welcome the decision to put waste bins in the buses but the management should make a separate arrangement for them. General public should support in the initiative to keep the buses litter free,’’ said Raturi.
