Following the death of a girl following a chance encounter with a langur, the Nainital divisional forest officer Dharm Singh Meena said that the department had full empathy with the bereaved family and is ready to provide all possible help to them. He said that though the municipal council is responsible for the catching of monkeys from the city area and releasing them in the forest area, the department will soon prepare a detailed action plan. Based on the plan, the department will start work on catching the simians from the residential areas and release them in remote forest areas.
