Following demands of Udhamsinghnagar residents, State Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has announced that Nadehi sugar mill will be upgraded. He also said that despite devastation due to cloudburst on June 16-17 we have managed to handle the situation. He also announced for the construction of two kilometer long canal in Jaspur and upgradation of Kunda High school. He also agreed to waive off cess on transportation of Eucalyptus, which are being produced by the farmers. Besides it he also inaugurated and laid down foundation stone of different projects worth of `67.84 crore.
Replying on the demand of Jaspur MlA Dr Shailendra Mohan Singhal about declaration of Kashipur as new district of Uttarakhand, CM Bahuguna said that we are not going to form any new district but we have asked committee to submit a report about how many new districts should be carved out within the State. State Revenue Minister Yashpal Arya has assured them that Tehsildar will be appointed in Jaspur in next 15 days. State cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat and Mantri Prasad Naithani educated the people about the ongoing government welfare plans especially initiated by the Congress led State Government for the last 18 months.
