The Himalayan hospital and cancer research institute, Jolly Grant has been awarded with the National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Health Care Providers (NABH) certificate for quality health care services. The hospital has become the first teaching hospital in state to have NABH certification. The Vice Chancellor (VC) of Swami Ram Himalayan University (SRHU), Vijay Dhasmana said that the NABH certificate is big achievement for the hospital. He said that patients are being given facilities at par with international standards and regular expansion in the services is being made. “A team of NABH had visited the hospital in November 2019 for three days and due to the hard work of hospital staff we were successful in meeting the guidelines and high standards for the certification,’’ he said. Dhasmana added that out of 600 medical teaching hospitals in the country only 25 have got the NABH certificate.
