A half marathon and various other activities were held under the auspices of Mussoorie Sports Association and Mussoorie Festival Committee on the fifth day of the Mussoorie Winter line Carnival on December 29th on Tuesday.
The marathon started from Garhwal terrace which went from the Mall Road , Green Check , camel's Back Road, library , Academy Gate, Company Garden , Hathipaon areas till the wishing well of George Everest and returned back.
In the half marathon boys category Vipul Panwar of Ghananand received the first position , Saleem Ansari from lakshman School Dehradun got second position, Ankit Thakur from SGRR , Dehradun was third , Navraj from MPG College was fourth , Shubham Dodwal from DAV College , Dehradun received the fifth position. In the Cross Country race Vipin from Ghananand was first , Sagar received the second position , Shubham Melwal from Nirmala Inter College third , Ranjeet from Saint lawrence was the fourth and Parivesh from SGRR Dehradun was the fifth. In the 6 meter cross country boys category Vinod of R N Bhargav Inter College was the winner , Abhishek from SGRR was the second , Aman Chauhan third , Suraj Panwar was the fourth and Arving froim Ghananand got the fifth position. In the girls category half marathon Shobha Rana fronm MPG College received the first position , Kajal from Sanatan Dharam Girls Inter College was second , Ganga from Manipal Institute was the Third , Bharti from the Sanatan Dharam Girls Inter College was fourth and Radha from Mussoorie Girls Inter College was the fifth position holder.
Puppet artists of Rajasthan presented the performance at Mall Road which was praised by the people living there and tourists. Throughout the day various cultural activities were held which includes songs by the team of Baburam Sharma and artists of Jaunsar and also preformed the folk dances , evening programe includes the live band and the laughter show.
