On the issues like parking space, construction of a building of the Government hospital, reconstruction works in disaster-affected areas and construction of martyr gates in his Assembly constituency, the Mussoorie MlA and senior BJP leader Ganesh Joshi met the Governor of State, KK Paul at State Secretariat on Monday.
Joshi informed the Governor that the then Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of a multi-level parking facility at Kincraig on March 29 last year but the work on it is yet to start. He said that the Public Works Department (PWD), which is the executive agency of the project, should be directed to start the work immediately as the place is a famous tourist destination and the tourist face many problems in absence of a good parking facility.
The MlA said that the construction work for the building of the G Hospital in the town is going on a snail’s pace for last six years due to which the people of the area are facing many problems. The Uttar Pradesh Nirman Nigam limited was entrusted with the task of construction of the important building in the year 2010.
Joshi informed the Governor that on August 16, 2014, disaster struck Bandal valley due to heavy rains and Sarkhet area was worst affected as bridges, houses, roads and agriculture fields were damaged. Joshi claimed that no compensation was distributed in the affected areas.
