Apart from bringing joy, music also helps in introspection and development of the intellect. Noted Dhrupad singers Pradeep Chopra and Astha Chopra said this while conducting a music workshop and performance at the Children's Academy school here. Addressing the gathering of students on the occasion, Pradeep Chopra said that Dhrupad is a deep and serious school of music. He informed the students about the ancient origins of this music and aspects of its journey to the present times. Apart from praise of lord, description of seasons, Dhrupad compositions also dwell in a unique manner on other subjects like Veer Ras, Shringar Ras, Bhakti and Shant Ras. The Chopras also rendered various compositions on the occasion.
Earlier, the music workshop was inaugurated by the school principal Shrish Pathak along with social workers Ajay Chowdhry and Neeraj Sharma.
