Dehradun district magistrate S A Murugesan on Wednesday inspected Parade Ground where Uttarakhand Governor Krishan Kant Paul would hoist the National flag on the occasion of Republic Day. SSP Nivedita Kukreti among others was with the DM during the inspection.
DM said that all the district officers have been directed to complete their assigned works pertaining to the celebration at the earliest. Municipal corporation officers were directed to ensure cleanliness at Parade Ground while the PWD officials were directed to complete the works of temporary construction on time.
The officers of Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA), rural development, forest, swajal, tourism, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Industry, horticulture, child development and health department were directed to maintain uniformity in size in their tableau through coordination among themselves. DM said that all works related to the celebration must be completed by January 22.
Municipal commissioner Vijay Kumar Jogdande, city magistrate Manuj Goyal, ADM Veer Singh Budiyal, SP City Pradeep Rai, project director DRDA RS Rawat, PWD executive engineer A S Bhandari and the district sports officer were among those present during the inspection.
